Based at the University of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, SOMP aim to provide an informal platform for Music Research students who wish to discuss works in progress or present papers in a friendly and relatively informal environment. We would like to encourage open-discussion and experimentation in both approach and content. Seminars are given monthly at present with members taking turns to chair, the current seminar timetable can be viewed below as well as a list of relevant upcoming events.
